President Bush will continue to address the concerns of Latin America's poor amid protests on his tour of nations there, AP reports.

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales is trying to quell outrage over the politically tinged firings of eight U.S. attorneys late last year, and told members of the Senate Judiciary committee last week that he would let "Congress limit his powers," the Washington Post reports. Still, Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., who sits on that committee, is calling on Gonzales to step down, the New York Times reports.

A report from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce says Congress must revamp SEC regulations in order to help American businesses adjust to an increasingly competitive global marketplace, the Los Angeles Times reports.

The Army is facing a "critical shortage of midlevel officers," USA Today reports. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Times reports on upcoming reforms at VA hospitals.

The Washington Post reports on challenges European counterterrorism officials face as a growing number of suspects are "women, teenagers, white-skinned suspects and people baptized as Christians."

And Halliburton, "the world's second-largest oil-field services company and biggest U.S. contractor operating in Iraq," is moving operations to Dubai, the Houston Chronicle reports.
