News Roundup: Israeli President, Lockerbie Review
Mideast. Israeli President Moshe Katsav resigned today, after agreeing to plead guilty to sexual harassment charges in exchange for dropping more severe ones.
Terrorism. In a new report, the Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission recommends an appeal for Abdel Basset al-Megrahi, the only person convicted in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 in 1988, which killed nearly 300 people.
Iraq. The U.N. Security Council voted unanimously today to shut down a division that monitored Iraq's weapons programs under Saddam Hussein.
World. During his visit to Russia, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is looking for new ways to strengthen economic, military and energy ties with the country.
