Earlybird Roundup: Sunni Defection, Tillman Report, Dow Jones Deal

Iraq. Parliament's largest Sunni voting bloc announced today it is leaving Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's government.

Military. Army officials have released the final report on the friendly-fire death of Cpl. Pat Tillman in Afghanistan and censured a retired three-star general for his role in mishandling the incident.

Congress. After the ethics bill easily passed yesterday, the House is set to take up contentious health care legislation (subscription) today.

Media. News Corp. mogul Rupert Murdoch has succeeded in his bid to acquire Wall Street Journal publisher Dow Jones for $5 billion.
