Romney Hard At Work On Religion Speech

His campaign sent out the proof today in case anyone dared not believe it...

And here:
Real men write in longhand.
More after the jump.

Here too:
I love Sudoku!

Also:
Hand cramps.

OK, that's good for a few chuckles, but Mitt Romney's speech tomorrow morning could be a crucial one for him. As we noted yesterday, he is facing some deeply ingrained religious prejudice against his Mormon faith just as rival Mike Huckabee is surging among evangelical Republicans. Huckabee, a Southern Baptist preacher, is subtly emphasizing his theological differences with Romney while some mysterious groups are doing so bluntly, and possibly illegally, via robocalls.

With Iowa a month away, no one is surprised that we're nearing an intensely personal and ugly moment in this race. That doesn't mean anyone has to like it. National Review's Mark Hemingway does not, for one. Romney is not expected to explain the details of his faith; rather, his speech will reportedly mirror the one Hemingway proposes.

U.S. News religion columnist Jay Tolson and BeliefNet are up with their takes on Romney's speech. We'll be watching on C-SPAN tomorrow morning; check back for our report.
